VeeLegacy provides insurance, investment education and financial services to clients across Canada. VeeLegacy is based in Whitby, Ontario.
Information We Collect
Depending on the form completed or service requested, VeeLegacy may collect your name, email address, telephone number, province or territory, service or insurance interests, preferred contact method, and messages or information you voluntarily submit.
For travel insurance requests, VeeLegacy may also collect travel information, traveller date of birth, country of origin, travel dates, travel destination, and whether a traveller has a pre-existing medical condition.
Please do not submit Social Insurance Numbers, banking information, detailed medical records or diagnoses, passwords, or other unnecessary sensitive personal information through website forms.
Purposes for Collection
VeeLegacy collects personal information to respond to inquiries and quote requests, understand what service a visitor is interested in, contact prospective clients, assist with insurance or financial-service inquiries, respond to travel insurance requests, arrange consultations, provide requested information, and comply with applicable legal or regulatory obligations.
Travel Insurance and Health Information
The travel insurance form currently asks only whether a traveller has a pre-existing medical condition. Detailed medical information should not be entered into website notes or message fields. VeeLegacy does not ask visitors to describe a medical diagnosis through the public website.
If additional information is required later in an application process, it can be collected through an appropriate process at that time.
Website Forms and Formspree
VeeLegacy website forms are processed using Formspree, a third-party form-processing provider. The current forms on /quote/, /contact/, and /travel-insurance/ all submit to the existing Formspree endpoint.
Information submitted through these forms is transmitted to and processed by Formspree in order to deliver the inquiry to VeeLegacy. Third-party processing may also be subject to the service provider's own privacy practices.
Data Retention
VeeLegacy retains personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected and as required by applicable legal or regulatory obligations.
Sharing of Information
VeeLegacy does not sell personal information. Personal information may be disclosed to service providers used to operate the website or process requests, such as Formspree, where necessary.
Insurance or financial-service processes may later require authorized sharing with relevant providers after appropriate consent has been obtained.
Security
VeeLegacy takes reasonable administrative, technical and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the information to help protect personal information. No website or electronic transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Google Fonts
The website currently loads fonts from Google Fonts to display the site's typography.
Cookies and Analytics
At the time this Privacy Policy was last updated, VeeLegacy does not use website analytics or advertising pixels identified in the site's current configuration.
No active Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Meta/Facebook Pixel, Hotjar or Microsoft Clarity was found. No active cookie, localStorage or sessionStorage functionality was found in the site's JavaScript. If these practices change, this Privacy Policy may be updated.
Social Media
The website contains outbound links to third-party services such as Instagram and TikTok. Once a visitor leaves the VeeLegacy website, those third-party platforms operate under their own privacy policies.
Consent
By voluntarily submitting a form, you consent to the collection, use and processing of the submitted information for the purposes explained at the time of collection and in this Privacy Policy.
Where sensitive information is requested, such as the travel insurance pre-existing medical condition question, your form submission confirms your consent to VeeLegacy collecting, using and processing that submitted information for the related inquiry.
Access, Correction and Withdrawal
You may contact VeeLegacy about access to personal information, correction of personal information, questions about privacy practices, withdrawal of consent where applicable and subject to legal or contractual limitations, and privacy concerns or complaints.
